Streaming Audio Study Aids

by David Kelly

One of the neat new features of the West Academic Study Aids is the addition of audio lectures. Both the Sum and Substance series and the Law School Legends series are now available to stream 24/7.

The interface is very user friendly. There is a handy menu to select the exact lectures on particular topics that you would like to stream.

To access the audio lectures, go to the Law School’s website:

1

Click on the Library tab at the top, and select the West Academic Study Aids link under Research and Reference:

2

This takes you to the West Academic Study Aids site. From here you may either search by subject, select by series, etc. To select by series, choose the appropriate drown down menu to find all of the available series:

3

From this list select either the Law School Legends Audio Series or the Sum and Substance Audio. After choosing a particular series, a list of all the available titles will appear:

4

Select the desired title, in this case Wills and Trust by our own Professor Beyer:

5

Once a title is selected a window will appear with a play button, fast forward button, and reverse button, as well as a tracks play list. You may play it from the beginning or just play the topic you are interested in.

Another really great part about the audio lectures is that they work great on your cell phones and other mobile devices.  No need to download files or deal with CDs.
