Faces of the Library: Gabrielle Bechyne

Staff Spotlight Gabrielle

This week’s library staff featue is Gabrielle Bechyne. This is Gabrielle’s first semester at Texas Tech School of Law Library but she is undoubtedly an essential part of the team. We don’t know what we would do without her. Please, read her profile here:

What are some of the tasks you do for the TTU Law Library?

I am a Graduate Research Assistant for Professor Drake. I assist with Student Services (such as the Legal Practice program and ELR),

faculty research assignments, and other events that the Law Library is involved with.

What is your favorite thing about working at the TTU Law Library?

I love the positive atmosphere. All of the library staff are great resources. Everyone is supportive of each other and genuinely has the students’ best interests in mind.

What is one thing about the law library that current and  prospective students should know?

It is there for the students’ use and to help students be as successful as possible. Additionally, don’t hesitate to reach out to any of the

library staff with questions about research, study aids, or anything else about law school life. They are a wealth of knowledge.

What is your favorite restaurant in Lubbock?

I love Jimenez, which is located downtown. Super tasty and authentic Mexican food.

What hobbies or activities do you like to do outside the law library?

I to listen to podcasts and work out at a boxing gym! Both are great stress relievers and distractions from law school life.
