Excellence in Legal Research (ELR) is an extracurricular program in legal research that provides students with hands-on training in the skills, sources, and strategies they will need to perform effective and efficient legal research in practice. To meet the requirements of the program and earn a certificate upon graduation, a student must complete six required research courses and a minimum of four elective research courses of their choosing.
Students can begin the program as early as the second semester of 1L year. Classes are offered every semester, as well as during the summer.
