  • Prof. Brandon Beck gave a 30-minute CLE presentation to the Lubbock Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Association on recent development in firearms law on July 20, 2023. The presentation title was “Gun Law Update.”
  • Prof. Brandon Beck is representing a Texas inmate, pro bono, on a cert petition to the U.S. Supreme Court. He argues that the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals distorted the attenuation doctrine beyond what the U.S. Supreme Court allows in Utah v. Streiff.
  • Prof. Brandon Beck has been assisting with research and strategic planning in United States v. Rahimi, which the Supreme Court will hear in late November or early December.
