Faces of the Library: Barbara Moreno

Staff Spotlight Barb

Meet Barbara. She’s one of the nicest staff members here at Texas Tech School of Law Library. You can always stop by her office and grab some candy for a midday pick-me-up. Please, take some time to read her profile here:

What are some of the tasks you do for the TTU Law Library?

I catalog books and other materials for the Law Library’s collection, work with ScHOLAR (adding materials to the collection and preparing material to be added), collect statistics and help organize them and prepare the information for use by other staff (write reports, gather information, etc.), manage the electronic message board for the Law Library (add and schedule items that are posted, create signage, etc.), provide reference services.

What is your favorite thing about working at the TTU Law Library?

Working with the faculty, students, and staff; the variety of work that I get to do.

What is one thing about the law library that current and prospective students should know?

Library staff are always willing to help them find what they need when they need it.

What is your favorite restaurant in Lubbock?

Texas Roadhouse (I don’t get to go very often, but it’s always delicious!)

What hobbies or activities do you like to do outside the law library?

I love to read, collect books, and manage my library! Spend time with my family and traveling.
